The movie takes place four years after the end. Hit-Girl will stop at nothing to destroy the imposter Kick-Asss gang activity and prevent her masquerading as Dave Lizewski. It introduces us to Dave, the average geeky high-schooler who one day decides to become a superhero inspired by his comics. When these amateur superheroes are hunted down by Red Mist (Christopher Mintz-Plasse)-reborn as The Mother F%&*^r-only the blade-wielding Hit Girl (Chloe Grace Moretz) can prevent their annihilation. Kick-Ass 2 actually develops its main characters, Hit Girl and Kick Ass, allowing them to grow up in ways that are surprisingly fun and interesting. The film is an adaptation of Mark Miller’s Hit-Girl & Kick-Ass comics, particularly the first part of Book 1, titled, Kick-Ass: The Dave Lizewski Years.
